Jawaharlal Nehru University has extended the MBA admission process for the 2026–27 academic session, allowing eligible candidates to continue registrations until May 15. The admissions are being conducted through the university’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship.
University officials said the extension is expected to help more CAT-qualified applicants complete their registration and participate in the upcoming selection rounds.
MBA Admission Process Moves Forward
The university is expected to begin the next stage of admissions, including group discussions and personal interviews, later this month. Final selections are likely to be completed before the start of the new academic session.
Officials indicated that classes for the MBA batch are expected to commence in July.
Selection Based on Multiple Parameters
Candidates applying for the MBA programme will be evaluated using several criteria, including:
- CAT 2025 examination scores
- Group discussion performance
- Personal interview assessment
- Academic background and overall profile
The university stated that CAT scores will remain a major component of the final selection process.
Opportunity for Late Applicants
The extended registration window offers another opportunity for students who could not complete their applications during the earlier admission cycle. The university has advised candidates to submit applications before the revised deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Growing Interest in JNU’s MBA Programme
The MBA programme has continued to attract applicants interested in management education with exposure to entrepreneurship, public policy, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning.
The management school has also been increasing collaborations with industry and research organisations to strengthen academic and placement opportunities for students.
