CBSE Cracks Down on Malpractice: 20 Schools Disaffiliated for Dummy Students

In a move to ensure fair examination practices, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken strict action against 20 schools across India. These schools have been disaffiliated for enrolling “dummy students” and “ineligible candidates.”

Unethical Practices Exposed:

The disaffiliations stem from surprise inspections conducted by the CBSE to verify adherence to affiliation and examination regulations. These inspections revealed malpractices including:

• Dummy Students: Schools were found registering fictitious students to inflate their performance metrics.
• Ineligible Candidates: Students who did not meet the eligibility criteria were enrolled for exams.
• Poor Record Keeping: Schools failed to maintain proper student records, raising concerns about transparency.

Breakdown of Disaffiliations:

Five schools were delisted in Delhi, followed by three in Uttar Pradesh. Other states with affected schools include UP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Kerala, MP, J&K and Uttarakhand

The disaffiliated schools include
Delhi: Sidhhartha Public School, Bharat Mata Saraswati Bal Mandir, National Public School, Chand Ram Public Senior Secondary School and Marigold Public School.

Uttar Pradesh: Loyal Public School (Bulandshahr), Trinity World School (Gautam Buddh Nagar), Crescent Convent School (Ghazipur) .

Rajasthan: Prince UCH Madhyamik Vidyalaya (Sikar) and Global Indian International School, (Jodhpur).

Chhattisgarh: Dronacharya Public School and Vicon School in Raipur.

Maharashtra: Rahul International School (Thane) and Pioneer Public School (Pune).

Kerala: Peevees Public School (Malappuram) and Mother Theresa Memorial Central School (Thiruvananthapuram).

Madhya Pradesh: Sai RNS Academy in Assam’s Guwahati, Sardar Patel Public School (Bhopal).

Jammu and Kashmir: Kartar Public School (Kathua).

Uttarakhand: Gyan Einstein International School (Dehradun).
