The Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC), functioning under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has kicked off Round 1 of the AYUSH NEET UG Counselling 2026. Candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 and wish to secure a seat under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) can now register on the official portal, aaccc.gov.in.

This centralised counselling process governs undergraduate admissions to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), and B.Pharm (Ayurveda) at ITRA, for the 2026–27 academic session.

Candidates should note that this year’s AYUSH counselling cycle will run across four rounds plus a stray vacancy round, giving multiple opportunities to secure a seat for those who don’t get their preferred allotment in Round 1.

Who Can Apply

Only candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 and meet the eligibility criteria laid down by AACCC are permitted to register. The counselling covers:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government and aided colleges
• 100% seats in deemed universities
• Seats in central universities and national institutes

It’s important to remember that AACCC’s AIQ counselling does not replace state-level AYUSH counselling — candidates should also check their respective state counselling authorities for state quota seats.

How the Counselling Process Works

1. Registration — Candidates register online using their NEET UG 2026 roll number, personal details, and contact information.
2. Fee payment — A non-refundable registration fee plus a refundable security deposit (amount varies by category and counselling type) must be paid online.
3. Choice filling and locking — Candidates arrange their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority and lock their choices before the deadline.
4. Seat allotment — AACCC allots seats based on NEET UG rank, category, choices filled, and seat availability, and publishes results online.
5. Reporting and verification — Allotted candidates must report to their allotted institute within the notified window, carrying original documents plus three sets of self-attested photocopies for verification.
6. Admission confirmation — After document verification, candidates pay the admission fee at the institute to confirm their seat.

• Provisional seat allotment letter (downloaded from aaccc.gov.in)
• NEET UG admit card and official scorecard/rank letter from NTA
• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
• Category, domicile, and other eligibility certificates, as applicable
• Recent passport-size photographs

A Word of Caution

AACCC has advised candidates to rely only on the official portal — aaccc.gov.in — for registration, choice filling, and payments, warning that unofficial links and third-party websites can pose payment and data-security risks. Candidates are also urged to read the official 2026 information bulletin carefully and review their college and course choices before locking preferences, since incorrect choices can affect the final allotment outcome.

What’s Next

Once Round 1 seat allotment is announced on September 16, allotted candidates will need to decide whether to accept the seat or wait for an upgrade in a later round. Round 2 registration and allotment are expected to follow in October 2026, giving candidates who didn’t secure a seat — or who wish to upgrade — another chance in the counselling cycle.
