Andhra Pradesh: Andhra University, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), has announced the AP PGECET 2026 counselling schedule for admissions to postgraduate programmes including M.Tech, M.Pharmacy and Pharm.D for the academic year 2026–27.

The online counselling registration process will begin on September 16, 2026, and eligible candidates can register and pay the processing fee until September 21, 2026.

GATE and GPAT Candidates to Get Priority

The AP PGECET counselling process will consider candidates with valid GATE, GPAT and AP PGECET 2026 scores. Candidates who have qualified GATE or GPAT will receive first preference for seat allotment in the relevant programmes.

After allotment to GATE and GPAT candidates, remaining seats will be offered to AP PGECET-qualified candidates based on their merit ranks.

Counselling Fee

Candidates belonging to the OC and BC categories will have to pay a processing fee of ₹1,000, while the fee for SC/ST candidates is ₹600. The payment is to be made online during registration.

What Candidates Should Do

Candidates planning to participate in AP PGECET 2026 counselling should keep their AP PGECET/GATE/GPAT rank card, qualifying examination certificates, identity documents and other required certificates ready before registration.

After registration and certificate verification, candidates will be able to enter their preferred colleges and courses through the web-options facility. Since seat allotment depends on merit, seat availability and the choices submitted, candidates should carefully arrange their preferences before the deadline.

The official AP PGECET portal confirms that the examination is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of APSCHE.

Classes to Begin September 30

The academic session for M.Tech, M.Pharmacy and Pharm.D programmes admitted through the counselling process is scheduled to begin on September 30, 2026. Students allotted seats must complete self-reporting and report to their respective colleges between September 30 and October 3.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official AP PGECET/APSCHE portal for counselling notifications, certificate-verification instructions and seat-allotment updates.
