WBJEE 2025 Exam Conducted Today: Key Details and Guidelines

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) conducted the WBJEE 2025 exam today, April 27, 2025. This state-level entrance test is a gateway for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses in engineering, technology, architecture, and pharmacy across West Bengal.

The exam was held in two shifts:

  • Paper 1 (Mathematics): Conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
  • Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry): Held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Candidates were required to follow strict guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. Key instructions included:

  • Arriving at the examination center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Carrying essential documents such as the admit card, a valid photo ID, and a copy of the photograph uploaded during the application process.
  • Avoiding prohibited items like mobile phones, calculators, and communication devices.

The WBJEE 2025 exam was conducted in offline mode (pen and paper). The question paper consisted of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three categories:

  • Category 1: Correct answers awarded 1 mark; incorrect answers attracted a penalty of 0.25 marks.
  • Category 2: Correct answers earned 2 marks; wrong answers resulted in a deduction of 0.5 marks.
  • Category 3: Correct answers fetched 2 marks with no negative marking.

Students were advised to carefully read the instructions on the OMR sheet and question booklet to avoid errors in marking their responses.

The WBJEE 2025 exam is a crucial step for students aiming to secure admissions in prestigious institutions across the state. Results are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, and candidates are encouraged to stay updated through the official website.
