UPSC Extends Civil Services Prelims 2025 Registration Deadline to February 18

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the registration deadline for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025. Initially, the last date to apply was February 11, 2025, but it has now been extended to February 18, 2025 until 6 PM.

Candidates who wish to apply for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2025 can do so through the official UPSC website, upsconline.gov.in. The extension comes after some applicants reported technical issues while applying through the portal.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted annually in three stages: Preliminary, Mains, and Interview, to select officers for various services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). This year, the preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on May 25, 2025.

The correction window for applicants will be open from February 19, 2025, to February 25, 2025. Candidates are required to create a One-Time Registration (OTR) profile on the UPSC website before filling out the application form. The application fee is ₹100, but female, SC/ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

Approximately 979 vacancies are expected to be filled through this examination, including 38 vacancies reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities.

For more details and to apply, candidates can visit the official UPSC website.
