University of Sheffield Introduces £3,000 Engineering Excellence Scholarship

Sheffield, December 28, 2024 – The University of Sheffield’s Faculty of Engineering has announced the launch of the Engineering Excellence Scholarship for international students starting their undergraduate degree in September 2025. This scholarship, valued at up to £3,000, aims to reward academic excellence and provide financial support to eligible candidates.

Key Details of the Scholarship:

• Eligibility: Overseas fee-status students who exceed the academic conditions of the standard UCAS offer. Specifically, students achieving A-level grades of AAA or above* (or equivalent qualifications) will qualify for the scholarship.
• Scholarship Amount: The scholarship amount is dependent on academic achievement:
  • AA A:* £1,000
  • AAA:** £2,000
  • AAA:* £3,000
• Additional Benefits: Students who maintain a 70% overall average mark in the previous academic year will receive an additional £1,000 each subsequent academic year.
• Automatic Award: No separate application is required. Eligible students will be automatically considered for the scholarship upon commencement of their studies1.
• Conditions: The scholarship will be withdrawn if a student fails to achieve the required 70% average and will not be reinstated in the following year.
