March, 16, 2022: The University of Birmingham Dubai is inviting applications for the BSc Business Management With a Year in Industry course for the September 2022 intake.
The BSc Business Management with a Year in Industry will equip students with the expertise needed to lead, change and understand business and management on both a national and global scale. The programme offers a blend of academic expertise and practical knowledge that will provide students with the key employability skills suitable for new and challenging contexts.The students will graduate with the same degree as in the UK, which is recognised all around the world for its research base and industrially focused profile.Birmingham Business School has a Triple-Crown Accreditation – only 1% of global business schools are accredited by AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.
Programme delivery: The three-year programme Business Management with a Year in Industry course will provide students with an in-depth knowledge of current business operations and activities while also providing effective analytical, critical and communication skills that are transferrable to a range of careers, from banking and finance to management consulting or entrepreneurship.
Year one is an introductory year and introduces the key themes of the programme, e.g. marketing, organisational behaviour, accounting and finance. At the end of this year, from June to September, students will undertake a work placement in Dubai for 3.5 months, which will be assessed via reflective assignments.
In year two, a generalist approach is adopted although modules begin to become more focused and specialised. At the end of the study period, from June to September, students can undertake a work placement in the UK for 3.5 months that is assessed via a mini dissertation.
Year three of the course features modules that are increasingly focused. The year is underpinned by a compulsory dissertation which will allow students to investigate an area of personal interest in more depth.
Course dates: September 2022
Entry Requirements: 75% from Standard 12 from ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra, West Bengal state board or 80% from other state boards. Mathematics score in Standard 10 will be taken into account.

One academic reference (or if appropriate to the programme applied for, it could be from applicant’s employer).Academic transcript(s) for all prior degrees – originals or certified photocopies.Personal Statement, approximately 5000 characters, explaining why you are interested in studying on your chosen programme.Certificate to show competency in the English language if English is not your first language and you have already taken a test (not mandatory to submit at the time of application). Students can be considered for a waiver.

Tuition: The annual tuition fee for 2022 is AED 109,145 (£21,922) per year of study which can be paid for in instalments.
Scholarship: Scholarship options at the University of Birmingham Dubai are designed to benefit all new students and the financial rewards can be carried forward through the entire programme across foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For September 2022, entry the university is offering scholarships of upto 40% to Indian students based on academic performance.
