UCEED 2025: Key Updates and Guidelines

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is set to conduct the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025 on January 19, 2025. This entrance exam is a gateway for admissions to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs offered by several prestigious institutions, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur2.

Exam Details

  • Date and Time: January 19, 2025, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
  • Duration: 3 hours.
  • Exam Pattern: The exam consists of two parts. Part A is an online-based test with Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Question (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)1. Part B is an offline-based test consisting of sketching and design aptitude questions.
  • Total Marks: 300 (200 from Part A and 100 from Part B).

Admit Card and Guidelines

  • Admit Card: Candidates must download their admit cards from the official UCEED website using their login credentials. The admit card is mandatory for entry to the exam centre3.
  • Identification: Candidates must bring a valid photo ID such as Aadhar card, PAN card, driving license, or voter ID card.
  • Prohibited Items: Electronic devices, calculators, and other smart devices are not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Reporting Time: Candidates should report to the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam time.

  • Admit Card Release: January 3, 2025.
  • Exam Date: January 19, 2025.
  • Answer Key Release: January 21, 2025.
  • Result Declaration: March 7, 2025.
