Tamil Nadu Class 12 Board Exam Results 2025 Declared

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has officially released the Class 12 (HSE +2) results today, May 8, 2025, at 9 AM. Students who appeared for the exams can now check their scores on the official websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in.

Key Highlights:

  • Total Students Appeared: Around 8.2 lakh students took the exams, which were conducted from March 3 to March 25, 2025.
  • Pass Percentage: The overall pass percentage stands at 95.03%, marking a slight increase from last year’s 94.56%.
  • Top Performing Districts: Ariyalur recorded the highest pass percentage at 98.8%, followed by Erode at 97.9%.
  • Gender-wise Performance: 96.07% of girls cleared the exams, compared to 93.16% of boys.
  • Centum Scores: A total of 26,887 students scored a perfect 100 in at least one subject.

How to Check Results:

Students can access their results by following these steps:

  1. Visit tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in.
  2. Click on the “TN HSE (+2) Result 2025” link.
  3. Enter registration number and date of birth.
  4. Select the stream (Arts, Science, Commerce, or Vocational).
  5. View and download the marksheet for future reference.

Supplementary Exams & Revaluation:

  • Students who did not pass can appear for supplementary exams, with details to be announced soon.
  • Those unsatisfied with their scores can apply for revaluation and rechecking, with official dates expected shortly.

Official Announcement:

The results were declared at a press conference held at the Anna Centenary Library in Chennai, attended by School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. He congratulated students and encouraged those who missed the exams to take the upcoming supplementary tests.
