#RustyReads with Ruskin Bond – A fundraiser presented by Leogirl Productions and Teach For India

India, 4th December, 2020 : Towards the end of what has been a trying year for us all, content & production company Leogirl Productions brings us some December joy and goodness with their latest episodic series, #RustyReads, a collection of 3 episodes where celebrities and influencers, including Ruskin Bond himself, from various walks of media come together to read chapters from Bond’s famous nostalgia trip, Adventures of Rusty.

Teach For India is striving to eliminate educational inequities in India by building a movement of leaders to ensure every child has access to a quality education. This collaborative series will help raise funds so children can access the power of story-telling and breathe life into their own stories.

Artists such as Shriya Pilgaonkar, Vinay Pathak, Yashaswini Dayama, Aisha Ahmed, film critic Sucharita Tyagi, Oscar-winning film producer Guneet Monga, Ayush Mehra, Shreya Dhanwanthary and many more will come together over the episodes to embody various characters from the popular children’s book and encourage viewers to donate to Teach For India.

The episodes will air on 8th, 15th and 22nd December 2020, on Leogirl Productions’ YouTube channel and Teach For India’s social media handles. The idea is to end a difficult year with nostalgia, goodness, and a spirit of giving back to society through its foundation: children!

Storytelling has the power to let children’s’ imaginations flow. Now more than ever, India’s children need access to uninterrupted learning, to continue their education. Such reading series’ and organisations like Teach For India endeavour to facilitate these resources for our nation’s children.
