Romania Embassy Offers Scholarships to Indian Students
The Embassy of Romania has announced an exciting opportunity for Indian students to pursue higher education in Romania through its scholarship program for the academic year 2025-26. This initiative aims to strengthen educational ties between Romania and India while providing Indian students with access to world-class education in a variety of disciplines.
The scholarships are open to students from non-European Union countries, including India, and cover Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs. However, fields such as Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy are excluded from the program. The scholarships are designed to support students in achieving their academic goals while fostering cultural exchange between the two nations.
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
Undergraduate and Master’s programs are conducted exclusively in Romanian. For students who do not speak Romanian, a preparatory year is offered to learn the language before commencing their studies. Doctoral candidates have the option to study in Romanian or another language, as determined by the doctoral school.
Interested candidates can apply online through the official portal at studyinromania.gov.ro or directly at scholarships.studyinromania.gov.ro. The application deadline is March 12, 2025. It is important to note that the Government of India is not involved in the nomination or selection process; the final selection will be made by Romanian authorities.
This scholarship program is a golden opportunity for Indian students to gain international exposure and academic excellence in Romania. By participating in this initiative, students can not only advance their careers but also contribute to the cultural and educational exchange between India and Romania.
