Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 Expands Nationwide, Engages 6.76 Crore Participants

New Delhi, January 27, 2026:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship interactive programme Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 witnessed unprecedented participation this year, reaching nearly 6.76 crore students, teachers and parents across the country. For the first time, the annual event was conducted in a pan-India format, marking a major shift from its earlier centralized model in the national capital.

The programme focused on helping students cope with exam stress, motivation, confidence building and balanced preparation, ahead of board and competitive examinations.

First Pan-India Edition Marks a Major Milestone

Unlike previous editions held mainly in New Delhi, PPC 2026 was organized simultaneously across multiple locations, connecting students from different regions of the country. The Prime Minister interacted with students from cities including New Delhi, Coimbatore, Raipur, Dev Mogra (Gujarat) and Guwahati, representing diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds.

This new format aimed to make the dialogue more inclusive and accessible, ensuring participation from students in both urban and rural areas.

Record Participation Through MyGov and School Activities

Official figures indicate that more than 4.5 crore participants registered through the MyGov portal, while around 2.26 crore students and teachers joined related school-level activities. The combined engagement of about 6.76 crore participants makes PPC 2026 the largest edition since the programme’s launch in 2018.

The event brought together students, parents and educators on a single platform to discuss academic pressure and emotional well-being.

Focus on Stress Management and Motivation

A major theme of the interaction was managing anxiety and maintaining self-confidence during examinations. Students raised questions on how to stay motivated, handle fear of failure and maintain discipline while preparing for exams.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of viewing exams as a part of life rather than a burden, encouraging students to remain positive and focused on their goals. He underlined that confidence, consistency and clarity of purpose are key to overcoming challenges.

Strengthening the National Dialogue on Education

Since its inception, Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved into a nationwide movement aimed at transforming the way students approach examinations. The 2026 edition highlighted the growing importance of mental well-being and emotional resilience in education.

The expanded outreach also reinforced the government’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for learners and promoting healthy academic practices.

A Platform for Students, Parents and Teachers

The programme continued its tradition of involving not only students but also parents and teachers, acknowledging their role in reducing exam pressure and fostering a positive learning atmosphere at home and in schools.

With its pan-India expansion and record participation, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 has set a new benchmark as one of the largest student engagement initiatives in the country, focusing on motivation, mental health and holistic development.
