NTA Releases JEE Main 2026 January Session Admit Card: Key Details for Engineering Aspirants

New Delhi, January 17, 2026 — The National Testing Agency (NTA) officially released the admit card (hall ticket) for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 (January session) today.

This update matters a lot to engineering aspirants nationwide, as the exam starts in just a few days.

Release Date and Availability
NTA made the admit cards live on the official website on January 17, 2026.

So far, NTA has issued hall tickets only for candidates whose exams fall on January 21, 22, 23, and 24, 2026.
NTA will release admit cards for the remaining dates (January 28 and 29, 2026) in later phases.

How to Download the JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
Follow these steps to download your hall ticket from jeemain.nta.nic.in:

  1. Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in
  2. Click the link “Admit Card for JEE (Main) 2026 Session-1”
  3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth
  4. Submit the details to view and download the admit card
  5. Print a clear copy to carry on exam day

Exam Schedule for January 2026 Session
JEE Main 2026 January session runs from January 21 to January 29, 2026.

  • Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech): January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28 (two shifts daily)
  • Paper 2A (B.Arch) & Paper 2B (B.Planning): January 29 (single shift)

Important: Due to Saraswati Puja celebrations, NTA has rescheduled the exam originally planned for January 23 in West Bengal. NTA will directly inform the affected candidates about their new dates.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • You must carry the printed admit card to enter the examination hall. The authorities will not allow anyone inside without a valid printed admit card.
  • Carefully verify all details on the admit card (name, photograph, signature, exam centre, date, shift timing, etc.).
  • If you find any error, immediately contact NTA through the helpline (011-40759000) or email (jeemain@nta.ac.in).
  • On exam day, bring one printed copy of the admit card and a valid original photo ID proof.

With admit cards now available, focus fully on final preparation and exam-day readiness.
