NEET UG 2025 Registration Begins: Key Details and Important Dates

New Delhi, February 9, 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025. Aspiring medical students can now register on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, with the registration window remaining open until March 7, 2025.

Key Details:

  • Exam Date: The NEET UG 2025 exam is scheduled for May 4, 2025, and will be conducted in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM.
  • Application Fee:
  • General category: ₹1,700
  • General-EWS and OBC-NCL: ₹1,600
  • SC, ST, PwBD, and Third Gender: ₹1,000
  • Candidates outside India: ₹9,500
  • Admit Cards: Admit cards will be issued by May 1, 2025.
  • Exam Pattern: This year, the NTA has returned to the pre-COVID format, removing the optional questions in Section B. Candidates will now answer 180 mandatory questions—45 each in Physics and Chemistry, and 90 in Biology—within 180 minutes.

Candidates must apply exclusively through the online portal at neet.nta.nic.in. Applications submitted via any other mode will not be accepted. Applicants are required to upload a recent passport-sized photo, address proof, scanned signature, and other necessary documents.
