National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) 2025

Purpose

NEET MDS is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admissions to postgraduate dental courses like Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in various specializations.

Conducting Authority

The exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold an MDS or a Diploma recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
  • Minimum Marks: There is no minimum marks requirement for NEET MDS.
  • Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for NEET MDS.
  • Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times in consecutive years.

Exam Schedule

  • Notification Release: 4th week of January 2025
  • Application Form Release: 1st week of March 2025
  • Last Date to Apply: 3rd week of April 2025
  • Correction Window: 2nd week of May 2025
  • Admit Card Availability: 1st week of June 2025
  • Exam Date: March 29 and 30, 2025
  • Result Declaration: 2nd week of July 2025
  • Counselling and Seat Allocation: Begins immediately after result declaration

Application Process

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the NBEMS website (natboard.edu.in).
  2. Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Fill out the NEET MDS application form and upload scanned documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using credit/debit cards or net banking.
  5. Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

  • General Category Candidates: ₹4,250
  • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: ₹3,000

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Computer-based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes (210 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 200 multiple-choice questions
  • Total Marks: 800 marks
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Medium: English
