Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET)

Purpose

The MAH CET is conducted to provide admissions to various professional courses such as MBA, MMS, MCA, M.Arch, and BHMCT in colleges and universities across Maharashtra. The exam aims to assess the academic aptitude and skills of candidates to ensure a fair selection process for admissions.

Conducting Authority

The exam is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria

• MBA/MMS: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
• MCA: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject in Class 12th or at the graduation level.
• M.Arch: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
• B.HMCT: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

Exam Schedule/Important Dates

• Application Form Release: 3rd week of March 2025
• Last Date to Submit Application: 4th week of April 2025
• Admit Card Release: 2nd week of May 2025
• MAH CET Exam Date: 3rd week of June 2025
• Result Declaration: 1st week of July 2025

Application Process

1. Online Application: Candidates need to fill out the online application form available on the official CET Cell Maharashtra website.
2. Submission: Submit the filled application form along with the required documents and pay the application fee.
3. Admit Card: Download the admit card after it is released.

Application Fee

The application fee varies based on the course and category of the candidate. It is typically around INR 1000-1500 for General candidates and INR 800-1000 for reserved categories.

Exam Pattern

• Mode: The exam is conducted online (Computer-Based Test).
• Structure: The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three sections:

  • Abstract Reasoning
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension
• Duration: The exam lasts for 2.5 hours (150 minutes).
