The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially released the Class 10 (Matric) Board Examination Results for 2025 today, May 27, at 11:30 AM. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the JAC auditorium in Ranchi, attended by the Minister of School Education and Literacy, Ramdas Soren, and other board officials. A total of 4,33,643 students appeared for the exams conducted between February 11 and March 3, 2025, with practical exams held from March 4 to March 20, 2025. This year’s results reflect an overall pass percentage of 91.71%, a notable improvement from the previous year’s 90.39%.

The JAC released the much-anticipated toppers’ list for 2025, highlighting the exceptional performance of students. Gitanjali secured the top rank with an impressive 98.6% marks, followed by three students at Rank 2 and two at Rank 3. The toppers’ list includes names, marks, percentages, school names, and district details, providing recognition to high-achieving students across Jharkhand. The merit list, featuring 62 students in the top 10, underscores the competitive spirit and academic excellence of the state’s youth.
The JAC Class 10 exams were conducted from February 11 to March 3, 2025, in the morning session (9:45 AM to 1:00 PM), with practical exams held from March 4 to March 20, 2025. A total of 4,33,944 students registered for the exams, of which 4,33,643 appeared. The results reflect the hard work of students and the effective evaluation process by the JAC. To pass the JAC 10th exam, students needed to secure a minimum aggregate score of 33%. Those who received grace marks were also supported to meet this criterion.
Students dissatisfied with their results can apply for re-evaluation or rechecking of their answer sheets. The JAC will issue an official notification detailing the application process, dates, and fees after the results are announced. This provides an opportunity for students to ensure their answer sheets are evaluated fairly.
Last year, the JAC Class 10 results were announced on April 19, 2024, with a pass percentage of 90.39%. A total of 4,18,623 students appeared, and 3,78,398 passed. Toppers included Jyotsna Jyoti, Sana Sanjuri, Karishma Kumari, and Sristi Somya. This year’s improved pass percentage and the strong performance by girls highlight the consistent progress in Jharkhand’s education system.
After the announcement of the JAC 10th results, students can explore various academic and vocational pathways. The JAC encourages students to verify all details on their marksheets, including their name, roll number, examination name, total subjects, marks secured, and qualifying status. Any discrepancies should be reported to school principals immediately for rectification. Students can also access career guidance resources to choose streams and courses that align with their interests and career goals.
During the press conference, Minister Ramdas Soren congratulated the students and emphasized the board’s commitment to fostering academic excellence. The JAC will soon release additional details, including district-wise performance statistics and the complete toppers’ list with school and district information.
