200 Jawans with around 1400 participants will participate in the Third edition of Udaipur Runs by IIMU

IIM Udaipur is organising its third edition of annual ‘Udaipur Runs’ at Fateh Sagar Lake on January 12, 2020 at 6 am. This year, Udaipur Runs v3.0 is on the theme of ‘Run with the Jawans’ wherein 200 Jawans will participate in the event. The run will be held in categories under the stretch of 3.5km, 6km, and 8.2km.

The last edition of Udaipur Runs had a footfall of around 2000 people from Udaipur with more than 1200 participating in the run encompassing IIMU’s students. This exponential increase in the footfall made Udaipur Runs the second largest run of Udaipur in just two years.

Before the event, Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur said, “Udaipur Runs is growing exponentially with the youth participating in high numbers. The social cause associated with this important event echoes with the core values that the institution upholds.

The run will be flagged off by Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, and representatives from Pyrotech and Secure Meters who are supporting the event. Udaipur Runs v3.0 is the pre-event for Utkrisht’20 which is to be held from 18-19th January 2020. Utkrisht is the annual sports fest of IIM Udaipur held in January to help the IIMU community develop and inculcate sports culture.

Previous editions of Udaipur Runs were organised for the cause of educating the Girl Child and Cancer Awareness. There will be a warmup session followed by refreshments for the participants.
