The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has announced that today, March 21, 2025, marks the final day for online registration for Class 1 admissions for the academic year 2025-26. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for Class 1 admission, a child must be at least 6 years old as of March 31, 2025. This includes children born on or before April 1, 2019. Parents are required to provide valid proof of age, such as a birth certificate issued by municipal bodies, village panchayats, or military hospitals for defense personnel.

Reservation Policy

As per KVS admission guidelines:

• 25% of seats are reserved under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.
• 15% of seats are allocated for Scheduled Castes (SC).
• 7.5% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
• 27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC-Non-Creamy Layer).
