Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025

Purpose

The CUET is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by various Central, State, and participating universities across India.

Conducting Authority

The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc.
  • Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • Age Limit: There is no specific upper age limit for appearing in the CUET exam.
  • Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times in consecutive years.

Exam Schedule

  • Notification Release: Expected in the 1st week of February 2025
  • Application Form Release: Expected in the 1st week of February 2025
  • Last Date to Apply: Expected in the 3rd week of March 2025
  • Correction Window: Expected in the 2nd week of April 2025
  • Admit Card Availability: Expected in the 1st week of May 2025
  • Exam Date: Tentatively from May 15 to May 24, 2025
  • Result Declaration: Expected in the 1st week of June 2025
  • Counselling and Seat Allocation: Begins immediately after result declaration

Application Process

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the NTA official website (nta.ac.in).
  2. Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Fill out the CUET application form and upload scanned documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using online methods (Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI).
  5. Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC Applicants: ₹1,000
  • SC/ST/PwD Applicants: ₹500

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 100 questions
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Medium: English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for languages, M. Tech/Higher Sciences, and Acharya papers

Syllabus

The syllabus includes:

  • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability
  • General Knowledge: Current Affairs, Static GK (History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, etc.)
  • Logical Reasoning: Logical puzzles, Syllogisms, Blood Relations
  • Legal Aptitude: Basic legal principles and propositions

  2. Create a Study Plan: Allocate time for each subject and stick to your schedule.
