CUET UG 2025 Results Announced: Over 13.5 Lakh Candidates Await Admission Updates

New Delhi, July 5, 2025 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 on July 4, 2025. Over 13.5 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, conducted between May 13 and June 4, 2025, can now access their scorecards on the official websites, cuet.nta.nic.in and examinationservices.nic.in.

This year’s CUET UG saw 13,54,699 registered candidates, with 10,71,735 appearing for the exam. The candidate breakdown includes 5,23,988 female, 5,47,744 male, and 3 transgender participants. The results, based on the final answer key released on July 1, 2025, incorporate normalized percentile scores to ensure fairness across different shifts and paper variants. The exam authorities dropped 27 questions from the final answer key following candidate challenges.

Top Performers and Subject Trends

Ananaya Jain from Ludhiana, Punjab, emerged as the top scorer, achieving a perfect 100 percentile in four out of five subjects, missing a perfect score in English with a 99.99 percentile. Additionally, 17 candidates scored 100 percentile in three subjects, and 150 in two subjects. English remained the most popular subject, with the highest participation, while Gujarati saw the least, with only 61 candidates appearing out of 141 registered.

Compared to last year, where 22,920 candidates scored 100 percentile across 45 subjects, this year’s performance reflects a more competitive landscape, with fewer test papers (reduced from 61 to 37) and a cap of five subject choices per student.

How to Check Results

Candidates can download their scorecards by following these steps:

  1. Visit cuet.nta.nic.in or examinationservices.nic.in.
  2. Click on the “CUET UG Result 2025” link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your application number and password/date of birth.
  4. Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

Admission Process and University Participation

Over 250 central, state, and private universities accept CUET UG 2025 scores for undergraduate admissions in the 2025–26 academic session. However, the number of participating institutions has slightly decreased from 283 last year to 239 this year. Candidates are advised to check individual university websites for counseling schedules and cut-off marks, as the NTA’s role is limited to conducting the exam and sharing results with institutions.

Prominent universities like Delhi University (DU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) are expected to release their cut-offs soon. DU anticipates higher cut-offs for B.Com and BA (Hons) courses, while BHU expects slight increases in commerce and science streams. BHU’s admission portal will open for 9,200 seats, accessible via bhucuet.samarth.edu.in.

Looking Ahead

The CUET UG 2025 results mark a significant step toward streamlined and equitable admissions across India. With counseling processes set to begin, candidates are encouraged to stay updated via university portals for merit lists and admission deadlines.
