Purpose
The CUET (PG) is conducted to provide admissions to various postgraduate programs at central universities and other participating institutions across India. The exam aims to assess the academic aptitude and skills of candidates to ensure a fair selection process for admissions.
Conducting Authority
The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
- Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.

Application Process
- Online Application: Candidates need to fill out the online application form available on the official NTA website.

Application Fee
The application fee varies based on the course and category of the candidate. It is typically around INR 500-1000.
Exam Pattern
- Mode: The exam is conducted in a hybrid mode (Pen & Paper/CBT).
- Structure: The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three sections:
- Section IA: 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu)
- Section IB: 20 languages (French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Sanskrit)
- Section II: 29 domain-specific subjects
- Section III: General Test
