Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2025

Purpose

The CUCET is a national-level entrance exam conducted by Chandigarh University for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Engineering, Pharmacy, Integrated Law, Management, and more.

Conducting Authority

The exam is conducted by Chandigarh University (CU).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must have scored at least 50% in their qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for CUCET.
  • Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the exam multiple times.

Exam Schedule

  • Registration: Begins on October 11, 2024, and ends on May 31, 2025.
  • Admit Card: Available from June 1, 2025.
  • Exam Dates:
    • Phase 1: October 2024 to May 2025
    • Phase 2: June 2025 to August 2025
  • Result: Announced on the day of the exam.
  • Online Counselling and Seat Allocation: Begins on the day of the result declaration.

Application Process

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the CUCET website (cucet.cuchd.in).
  2. Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Fill out the CUCET application form and upload scanned documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using credit/debit cards or net banking.
  5. Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

Application Fee

  • General Category Candidates: ₹1,000
  • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: ₹500
  • Female Candidates: ₹750

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Online Proctored Test (Remotely Proctored)
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 100 multiple-choice questions
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Medium: English
