The CSIR UGC NET is a national-level eligibility test conducted twice a year (June and December) by the NTA on behalf of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It assesses candidates’ eligibility for JRF, Assistant Professor roles, and PhD admissions in five disciplines: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Qualifying candidates can secure a JRF fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for two years, followed by INR 35,000 per month for three additional years, or pursue careers in top research laboratories and public sector companies like Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, and ONGC.
The CSIR NET July 2025 exam was rescheduled from July 25-27 to July 28, 2025, due to a clash with the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025. The city intimation slip was released on July 20, 2025, to help candidates plan their travel.
For further details, candidates are encouraged to visit the official CSIR NET website or follow updates on social media platforms, where posts have confirmed the admit card release.
