COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2025

Purpose

The COMEDK UGET is an entrance exam conducted for admissions to undergraduate courses in engineering, architecture, and medical colleges in Karnataka.

Conducting Authority

The exam is conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: General Merit candidates need at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates from Karnataka).
  • Individual Subjects: Candidates must have individually passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for COMEDK UGET.

Exam Schedule

  • Registration: Begins on February 3, 2025, and ends on March 15, 2025.
  • Mock Test: Available from February 17, 2025.
  • Exam Dates: The exam will be held on May 10, 2025.
  • Admit Card: Available from April 30, 2025, to May 10, 2025.
  • Result: Announced on May 24, 2025.

Application Process

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the COMEDK website (comedk.org).
  2. Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Fill out the COMEDK UGET application form and upload scanned documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using credit/debit cards or net banking.
  5. Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

Application Fee

  • General Merit Candidates: ₹1,950 (excluding taxes)
  • Candidates Applying for Both Engineering and Medical Programs: ₹3,200 (excluding taxes)

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Total Questions: 180 (60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics)
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (Objective)
  • Medium: English
  • Scoring: Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, with no negative marking for wrong answers.
