Purpose
The CLAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.
Conducting Authority
The exam is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs).
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc.
- Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
- Age Limit: There is no specific upper age limit for appearing in the CLAT exam.
- Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times in consecutive years.

- Last Date to Apply: October 15, 2024 (extended to October 22, 2024)
- Correction Window: October 16-22, 2024
- Admit Card Availability: November 15, 2024

- Result Declaration: December 10, 2024

Application Process
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the CLAT official website (consortiumofnlus.ac.in).
- Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
- Fill the Application Form: Fill out the CLAT application form and upload scanned documents.
- Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using credit/debit cards or net banking.
- Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

- SC/ST/PwD Candidates: ₹3,500
