CBSE Results 2025 Declared: Key Highlights and Changes in Re-evaluation Process

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results for 2025 on May 13. Students can access their marksheets via the CBSE official websitescbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in.

Class 10 Results Overview

  • Pass Percentage: 93.66%, marking a slight increase from last year’s 93.60%.
  • Gender Performance: Girls outperformed boys, securing a 95% pass rate, while boys recorded 92.63%.
  • Regional Trends: Southern regions like Trivandrum and Vijayawada topped the rankings with 99.79% pass rates.
  • Compartment Category: Over 1.4 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category, highlighting areas needing academic intervention.

Class 12 Results Overview

  • Pass Percentage: 88.39%, reflecting a slight improvement from 87.98% in 2024.
  • Gender Performance: Girls continued to excel, achieving a 91.64% pass rate, compared to 85.70% for boys.
  • Merit List Policy: CBSE reiterated that it does not release merit lists or rank students to avoid unhealthy competition.

New Re-evaluation Process for 2025

CBSE has introduced major changes to the re-evaluation process, aiming for greater transparency:

  1. Photocopy First: Students must first obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheet before applying for re-evaluation.
  2. Verification & Review: After reviewing their answer sheet, students can choose between marks verification or full re-evaluation.
  3. Digital Access: The revised process ensures students have clear insights into their evaluation before requesting changes.

How to Check CBSE Results 2025

Students can access their results via multiple platforms:

  • Official Websites: cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in.
  • DigiLocker: Students can download their digital marksheets via DigiLocker after verifying their credentials.
  • UMANG App & SMS Services: Results are also available through the UMANG app and SMS-based services.

CBSE’s 2025 results reflect steady academic performance, with girls leading the way and regional variations highlighting areas for improvement. The new re-evaluation process aims to provide students with more control and transparency in addressing their concerns.
