Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Law Entrance Exam 2025

Purpose

The AMU Law Entrance Exam is conducted for admissions to the BA LLB program at Aligarh Muslim University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc.
  • Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • Age Limit: There is no specific upper age limit for appearing in the AMU Law Entrance Exam.
  • Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times in consecutive years.

  • Notification Release: January 1, 2025
  • Application Form Release: January 2, 2025
  • Last Date to Apply: January 31, 2025 (without late fee)
  • Correction Window: February 7-8, 2025
  • Admit Card Availability: First week of April 2025
  • Exam Date: April 20, 2025
  • Result Declaration: Expected within 3-4 weeks after the exam
  • Counselling and Seat Allocation: Begins immediately after result declaration

Application Process

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the AMU official website (amu.ac.in).
  2. Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Fill out the AMU application form and upload scanned documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using offline methods (SBI challan).
  5. Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

  • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: ₹500

  • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability
  • General Knowledge: Current Affairs, Static GK (History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, etc.)
  • Logical Reasoning: Logical puzzles, Syllogisms, Blood Relations
  • Legal Aptitude: Basic legal principles and propositions
