All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025

Purpose

The AILET is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) for admissions to its undergraduate (BA LLB), postgraduate (LLM), and Ph.D. programs.

Conducting Authority

The exam is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLUD).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc.
  • Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • Age Limit: There is no specific upper age limit for appearing in the AILET exam.
  • Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times in consecutive years.

Exam Schedule

  • Notification Release: July 6, 2024
  • Application Form Release: July 15, 2024
  • Last Date to Apply: October 15, 2024 (extended to October 22, 2024)
  • Correction Window: October 16-22, 2024
  • Admit Card Availability: November 15, 2024
  • Exam Date: December 8, 2024
  • Result Declaration: December 12, 2024
  • Counselling and Seat Allocation: December 13-20, 2024

Application Process

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the NLUD official website (nationallawuniversitydelhi.in).
  2. Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Fill out the AILET application form and upload scanned documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using credit/debit cards or net banking.
  5. Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

Application Fee

  • General Category Candidates: ₹4,000
  • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: ₹3,500

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Pen-and-paper (offline)
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 150 questions
  • Total Marks: 150 marks
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Medium: English

Current Affairs and General Knowledge

  • Current affairs
  • Static GK (History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, etc.)

  • Verbal Ability
