Alliance Common Law Admission Test (ACLAT) 2025

Purpose

The ACLAT is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Alliance University, Bangalore, for admissions to its BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programs at the Alliance School of Law.

Conducting Authority

The exam is conducted by Alliance University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc.
  • Residency: Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • Age Limit: There is no specific upper age limit for appearing in the ACLAT exam.
  • Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times in consecutive years.

  • Notification Release: Expected in the 1st week of March 2025
  • Application Form Release: Expected in the 1st week of March 2025
  • Last Date to Apply: Expected in the 3rd week of April 2025
  • Correction Window: Expected in the 2nd week of May 2025
  • Admit Card Availability: Expected in the last week of May 2025
  • Exam Date: Tentatively in the 1st week of June 2025
  • Result Declaration: Expected in the 2nd week of June 2025
  • Counselling and Seat Allocation: Expected in the 4th week of June 2025

Application Process

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the Alliance University official website (alliance.edu.in).
  2. Register: Complete the registration process by entering the required details.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Fill out the ACLAT application form and upload scanned documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee using offline methods (SBI challan).
  5. Submit the Form: Submit the application form and print a hard copy for future reference.

  • General Category Candidates: ₹1,000
  • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: ₹500

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Pen-and-paper (offline) and digital (remote proctored)
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 100 questions
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Medium: English

Syllabus

The syllabus includes:

  • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability
  • General Knowledge: Current Affairs, Static GK (History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, etc.)
  • Logical Reasoning: Logical puzzles, Syllogisms, Blood Relations
  • Legal Aptitude: Basic legal principles and propositions
