New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the rescheduled University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2024 exams. Originally scheduled for January 15, 2025, the exams were postponed due to the Pongal and Makar Sankranti festivals and are now set to be held on January 21 and 27, 20251.
Candidates registered for these exams can download their hall tickets from the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in, using their application number and date of birth. The admit card is mandatory for entry to the exam centre1.
Steps to Download Admit Card
- Visit the official UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- Click on the link for downloading the admit card.
- Enter your application number, date of birth, and given security pin.
- Click on submit and your UGC NET 2024 admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Check the admit card and download it. Take a printout for the exam day1.
Exam Details
- Exam Pattern: The exam consists of two papers. The first paper comprises 50 questions worth 100 marks, testing general skills like awareness, reading comprehension, reasoning, research aptitude, and teaching ability1. The second paper focuses on the candidate’s chosen subject, with 100 questions worth 200 marks.
- Scoring: Candidates in the unreserved category must score at least 40% to pass, while those in the reserved category must score a minimum of 35%.
- Exam Timing: The exam will be held in two shifts: the first shift from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second shift from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Candidates are advised to download their admit cards at the earliest and carefully review the details mentioned on it. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam at a centre or time other than what is allotted to them in their admit card3.
